Job Overview

We are looking for a project control specialist to join the “Joint Venture Project Support Division” (JVPS) under the “Fuels Strategy and Capital Planning Department” (FS and CPD). The JVPS division plays an important role in managing and supporting the affiliate projects of Aramco within the downstream fuels portfolio. This division makes sure they align with the company’s objectives and overall goals.

In this position, you will lead and conduct project health check assessments, and provide evaluation of project performances in terms of cost, shedule, and overall progress. You will identify key areas for improvement and suggest practical solutions to improve project efficiency.

Other than that, you will also have to provide project control support to different teams. You will ensure the reports are clear. You will help in accurate tracking, and making sure the project meets with project management standards. You should have strong analytical skills, leadership qualities and communication skills. You will help in guiding the management decisions that will contribute to the success of Aramco’s downstream joint venture projects.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification :

  • You should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized and approved program. A master degree in engineering is preferable.
  • You should have PMP and PMI SP certificates from project management institute or any other equivalent certificates.
  • You should have a certificate by AACEI (Advanced Association of Cost Engineer) or any other equivalent certificates.

Experience Required :

  • You should have 15 years of work experiences in project management, including at least 10 years in project control like planning, scheduling and cost control.
  • You must have work experiences in mega projects for refineries, petrochemicals or infrastructure industries.
  • You should have experiences in developing project scope, project schedule and cost estimates.

Skill & Competencies :

  • You must have the capability to enhance benchmarking database from cost and industry perspective.

Job Responsibilities

  • You will have to conduct project health check assessment for joint venture projects and present the outcome to the project sponsor.
  • You will review and monitor projects performance and will present results to the project team and project sponsor.
  • You will prepare reports to analyses project progress in development or execution stages.
  • You will perform project risks analyses.
  • You will manage the database for projects lessons learned.
  • You will conduct benchmarking studies.
  • You will support project team by providing them with the best practices in project oversight and project control.
  • You will give consultation in project management such as project economics, governance, organization setup, cost estimating, scheduling, procurements and risk management.
  • You will provide support to develop the business plan, project feasibility, project technical development.
  • You will analyze claims and advice on negotiation strategies.
